Last month, Skoda India unveiled its first sub-four-meter SUV, Kylaq. The third vehicle, as part of Skoda’s India 2.0 project, Kylaq, competes against established models like Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon, and Maruti Brezza in one of the hottest segments in the Indian automobile industry. Compared to its rivals, the Kylaq offers a more powerful engine and build quality.

Skoda Kylaq Bookings Open Today

Roughly a month after the announcement, Skoda India will open pre-bookings for Kylaq today, i.e., December 2, 2024. As per publicly available information, Kylaq’s bookings begin today at 4 PM IST. Interested buyers can contact their nearest Skoda dealership or wait for the booking portal to go live on its official website.

Skoda Kylaq Variants Price (Expected)

With bookings, the company should also unveil the complete pricing. Until now, we only knew the price of the Classic (base) variant, i.e., Rs. 7.89 (ex-showroom). However, today, the company should reveal how much the Signature, Signature Plus, and the Prestige (top) trim will cost.

A couple of days after the launch, we compared the Kylaq’s baseline Classic trim with other variants.

  • Based on the differences, we can speculate that the Signature variant can cost around Rs. 9 to 10 lakhs (ex-showroom.
  • Signature Plus variant could cost between Rs. 11 to 12 lakhs (ex-showroom).
  • The top trim of the new Skoda Kylaq, Prestige, may be priced around Rs. 13 to 14 lakhs (ex-showroom).

Please note that these are the speculative ex-showroom prices of the vehicle, and the final on-road price may differ for readers based on where they’re purchasing the car.

Skoda Kylaq Delivery Timeline

The deliveries for the booked Kylaq units will begin on January 27, 2025. This should give potential customers enough time to test drive the vehicle and make up their minds.

Skoda Kylaq Overview

  • The Kylaq is based on the MQB A0 IN platform, which is developed specifically for the Indian market.
  • The vehicle measures 3,995 x 1,975 x 1,575 mm, making it smaller than the Skoda Kushaq. Further, it has a ground clearance of 189 mm.
  • Under the hood, the vehicle has a 1.0-liter three-cylinder TSI engine, which delivers 115 hp of horsepower and 178 Nm of torque.
  • The powerful engine is combined with either a six-speed manual gearbox or a six-speed automatic transmission.
  • On the higher trims, the vehicle offers a digital instrument cluster, a 10-inch infotainment screen, ventilated front seats, a single-pane sunroof, and other trendy features.
  • The Kylaq comes with plenty of safety features as well, including six airbags, ABD with EBD, traction control, reverse parking camera, and more.
