Sony also presented relatively less expensive A8G 4K HDR OLED range that’s powered by X1 Extreme engine.

Sony A9G and A8G Bravia OLED TVs India Price and Availability

Sony A9G OLED TVs come in two sizes – 55-inch and 65-inch- and will be available starting August 1, 2019. Sony also launched relatively cheaper A8G series OLED TVs in the same size options and these are already available at all Sony Centers, major electronic stores, and e-commerce websites. Prices are as follows:

Model Price  Availability
KD-65A9G Rs. 3,69,990 August 1

Sony A9G OLED TV Features

Sony’s A9G series TVs are extremely slim and have extremely narrow bezels. The new SU-WL850 wall mount helps them fit even closer to the wall, and just in case you need to access any port or adjust the viewing position, the mount has a swivel function.

Sony has apparently put in a lot of work in perfecting the picture quality on these OLED screens that are characterized by high contrast. And when you are watching regular content, the X1 Ultimate engine has the responsibility of scaling SD and HD content to this 4K screen. The Pixel contrast booster on these new Sony TVs also helps refine the texture, contrast, and colors on screen.

If the result feels oversaturated, you can try one of the several picture modes available, including a dedicated Netflix mode.

As for audio, Sony continues with its Acoustic Surface Audio that places two actuators and two subwoofers behind the screen, which acts as a membrane to output rich audio. Curiously, the audio system has been downgraded from 3.2 channel in A9F series to 2.2 in the A9G series, but if our initial experience is anything to go by, the audio is still awesome and you needn’t worry.

The TVs have built-in microphones which make a direct conversation with smart Assistants possible. Smart home users are well covered. Sony A9G TVs are also compatible with Apple Airplay 2 and Homekit.
