Most recently, the Japanese entertainment giant Sony released the PS5 Pro, a souped-up version of the regular PS5 gaming console with better graphical prowess. Now, the company has announced a limited edition design to commemorate the 30th Anniversary of its popular gaming console. For those catching, the first PlayStation console came out in 1994.

PS5 Pro Limited Edition Follows The Original PlayStation’s Theme Color
“As we continue our celebrations leading up to the 30th anniversary of the first PlayStation console launch, we have a special treat to reveal today that brings the past together with the present.” Those familiar with the initial PlayStation consoles will immediately recognize where the gray theming comes from.
Which Devices Will Be Available In The Limited Edition Theming?
As part of the 30th Anniversary Limited Edition Bundle, the company will sell the PS5 Pro console with original PlayStation controller-style cable connector housing, four PlayStation Shapes cable ties, a PlayStation sticker, a limited edition PlayStation Poster, and a themed paperclip. The PS5 Digital Edition will also ship with the same accessories.
Besides the consoles, the company will also release the PlayStation Portal Remote Player, the DualSense Edge Wireless Controller, and the DualSense Wireless Controller in the limited edition theming.

Here’s When The Limited Edition PS5 Pro Goes On Sale
The PlayStation 30th Anniversary Collection is releasing on November 21, 2024. To create hype around the limited edition design, the company will only make 12,300 units of the PS5 Pro 30th Anniversary Limited Edition bundle. As with every other limited edition product, the unit number will be etched onto the console.
While pre-orders for the limited edition console begin on September 26, 2024, the company hasn’t announced the pricing for the same.
