Sony launches 2 new Soundbars in India: HT-A3000 & HT-A5000 unveiled

Both the soundbars will have to be purchased in combo with subwoofers and speakers.

Sony India has launched 2 new soundbars in the country. The Sony HT-A3000 and Sony HT-A5000 have come to India starting at Rs. 83,980. Both the soundbars are a part of the company’s premium A-Series of soundbars which also includes the Sony HT-7000 soundbar that came to India in January 2022. Read on to know the price, availability, and features.

Sony HT-A3000 & Sony HT-A5000: Price & Availability

Both the soundbars will be sold as combo packages in India, along with one of two compatible wireless subwoofers from the Japanese brand. The Sony HT-A3000 and Sony SW3 Subwoofer combo has a price of Rs. 83,980 in India. The Sony HT-A5000 with the same SW3 subwoofer will be priced at Rs. 1,11,980.

You can also choose either soundbar with the more powerful Sony SW5 subwoofer for Rs. 1,10,980 and Rs. 1,39,980 respectively. One can also opt for the RS3 wireless rear speakers for an additional Rs. 30,990 or the RS5, wireless rear speakers that will increase by Rs. 47,990. The soundbars are not available alone, so you will have to purchase them with the SW3 subwoofer as a combo package.

The soundbars can be bought via Amazon and Sony’s shoptatsc.com website. They will soon be available in Sony Retail stores and other electronic stores across India.

Sony HT-A3000 Soundbar: Features

The Sony HT-A3000 features a 240W 3.1-channel soundbar, with 3 forward firing speakers (left, right & center) and a dual driver subwoofer built in. It supports sound formats up to Dolby Atmos and DTS:X as well as Sony’s 360 Spatial Sound with Sound Field Optimization for proper sound tuning. When used with Sony Bravia TVs, Sony’s acoustic center sync mode is also enabled.

In terms of connectivity, the Sony HT-A3000 relies on HDMI ARC/eARC to connect with TV, Streaming device, or home theatre system. It includes one HDMI in port and a second HDMI out port, with support for 4K passthrough up to Dolby Vision format. Optical Toslink and Bluetooth 5 are also supported.

The Soundbar supports WiFi, with connectivity for Chromecast, AirPlay, and Spotify Connect along with voice assistant support for Alexa and Google Assistant. The soundbar can be wirelessly connected to SW3 and SW5 subwoofers as well as the RS3 and RS5 rear speakers, which gives it additional capabilities.

The Sony HT-A5000 features a 450W 5.1.2-channel subwoofer, with 3 forward-firing speakers (left, right & center), two beam tweeters, two upward-firing speakers, and a built-in subwoofer. It supports sound formats up to Dolby Atmos and DTS:X as well as Sony’s 360 Spatial Sound with Sound Field Optimization for proper sound tuning. When used with Sony Bravia TVs, Sony’s acoustic center sync mode is also enabled.
