Sony India has introduced the latest addition to its range of BRAVIA TVs in the Indian market—the BRAVIA X82L television series. Designed with advanced features and powered by Google TV, this lineup is available in three screen sizes: 55 inches, 65 inches, and 75 inches. Each TV incorporates Sony’s cutting-edge X1 4K HDR picture processor, ensuring exceptional visual quality with deep blacks, lifelike textures, and realistic imagery.

The panels in this series utilize direct LED units, featuring backlighting positioned behind the panel rather than along the edges. Furthermore, Sony has incorporated its exclusive TRILUMINOS PRO algorithm, enabling a wide color gamut for vivid and vibrant visuals. To cater to gaming enthusiasts, these TVs offer enhanced compatibility with Sony’s own PlayStation 5 system, accompanied by gaming-centric features.

Key Specifications and Features of the BRAVIA X82L Series:

All models within the BRAVIA X82L series boast 4K displays and provide support for Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos technologies. Additionally, these TVs employ a frame-dimming type of backlight.

Sony has integrated several user-friendly features into these televisions, including ambient optimization technology. Leveraging the light sensor, this technology automatically adjusts the picture brightness based on the room’s lighting conditions—enhancing brightness in well-lit rooms and reducing it in dim environments. The TVs also incorporate acoustic auto-calibration technology, which detects the users’ positions within a room and optimizes the sound output accordingly.

Furthermore, the lineup offers an array of gaming-focused features, including native support for the PS5 console. Sony claims that PS5 consoles can seamlessly recognize individual BRAVIA TV models and automatically configure the optimal HDR settings for each TV. Moreover, the TVs are equipped with HDMI 2.1 and auto-low latency mode, ensuring improved reaction times during gaming sessions. Once connected to a PS5, the TVs automatically switch to Game mode and revert to standard mode upon powering off the console.

The X82L TVs are powered by Google TV OS, granting users access to a vast library of over 10,000 apps and games. Additionally, these televisions provide support for Apple HomeKit and AirPlay, facilitating effortless streaming.

BRAVIA X82L Price and Availability in India:

The 55-inch variant, identified by the model name KD-55X82L, is priced at Rs 91,990. The 65-inch KD-55X82L model is available at a cost of Rs 124,990. Pricing and availability details for the larger 75-inch KD-75X82L model have not been disclosed yet.
