One of the PS5 models will soon be available at a discounted price in India. Earlier this month, the Japanese entertainment giant Sony released the PS5 Slim in India. The PS5 Slim (disk version) costs Rs. 54,990, while the PS5 Slim (digital version) costs Rs. 44,990. However, those eyeing the disk variant should wait until May 1, which is when the Sony PlayStation Summer Sale begins.
Sony PS5 Summer Sale: Schedule And Availability
The PlayStation Summer Sale will go live on May 1 and run through May 14, 2024. However, the end of this sale depends on how long the stocks last. During the sale, the PlayStation 5 Slim will be available at a discounted price from various sellers, such as Amazon, Flipkart, Blinkit, and other offline retailers like Croma, Reliance Digital, and Vijay Sales.
Sony PS5 Summer Sale: Discount And Effective Price
During the Sony Summer Sale, the PS5 Slim (disk version) will be available with a discount of Rs. 5,000, reducing the effective price to Rs. 49,990. The deal applies to the models CFI-2008A01 and CFI-2008B01. Although the offer provides a decent discount, it is only valid until May 14 or until stock lasts.
Although the PS5 Slim offers the exact specifications and gaming performance as the original version, it offers a sleeker design. With a 30 percent reduction in volume, the PS5 Slim occupies significantly less desk space. Further, it also comes with a 1TB SSD as opposed to the 825GB SSD on the regular PS5.
