Sony PS5 pre-orders now shipping in India

Sony PS5, which was globally introduced back in September 2020, was officially launched in India on February 2. The price of the PlayStation 5 with Bluray disk drive is INR 49,999 and INR 39,999 for the digital edition.

Sony has started shipping PS5 to the buyers who had pre-ordered the gaming console on January 12. Right after the pre-order started back then, the units were all sold out within milliseconds. The company has not said a word about re-stocking of PS5 via any channel.

The Sony PS5 comes with a futuristic design and powerful installments inside to deliver the next generation gaming console. It features an AMD Ryzen Zen 2 processor with eight cores clocked at 3.5GHz for variable frequency. For GPU performance, the console gets an AMD Radeon RDNA 2-based graphics engine with up to 2.23GHz variable frequency and 10.3 teraflops operation. The 16GB GDDR6 RAM and a custom 825GB SSD assures smoother and ultra-fast gameplay.

The PS5 ships with an all-new DualSense Controller that has significant upgrades compared to the older version. It is equipped to perform in the haptic mode using a vibration motor. The gamer feels improved responsive trigger, easy functionality, and smoother handling experience. Supporting AAA batteries makes the controller lighter than the Xbox Series X controller. 

Sony has worked to offer impressive features to the gamers. The built-in disc drive lets users run in Blu-ray disc games, regular Blu-rays, and DVDs as well. This is also insurance should your favourite game get delisted from digital edition in the future.
