After launching a series of ‘ULT Power Sound’ products internationally, Sony is all set to bring those products to India. To flaunt it, Sony actually teased the upcoming ‘Power Sound’ speakers and headphones on X (formerly Twitter) with the hashtag “ULTPowerSound” which didn’t take much longer to go viral. Of course, the post wasn’t the usual kind but rather, a kind of kicker for Sony enthusiasts waiting for ULT series to drop by. Block the date – May 27th – as Sony will bring ULT Tower 10, ULT Field 7, ULT Field 1, and ULT Wear that supersedes the previous-gen devices such as

ULT TOWER supersedes SRS-XE200, the SRS-XG500 line is now ULT FIELD and the ULT WEAR replaces the WH-XB910N. Here’s a recap of what the international version brings to the table. We are almost certain Sony won’t make any major changes to the Indian variants, unlike most other brands.

The new Sony ULT Wear headphones sport 40mm drivers along with a V1 processor to handle active noise cancellation (ANC). The headphones are equipped with LDAC and LC3 support as well as 360 Reality Audio with head tracking and microphone wind reduction to name a few. You can switch from normal to deep and even powerful bass using just the press of a button.

ULT Tower 10, as the name suggests, is a gargantuan of a speaker weighing 64 lbs. Luckily, the tower has wheels to carry it around. It is equipped with multiple drivers capable of producing omnidirectional output. It is equipped with a 7-band equalizer, touch control, ULT button, and a price tag of a whopping $1,199.

Sony’s ULT Field series is getting an update too. Aptly named ULT Field 1 and Field 2 both have the same IP67 waterproof ingress protection and are rustproof.

Field 1 is a less expensive version of Field 2 which is shockproof. On the other hand, Field 7 is a full-fledged fully-featured portable speaker with a 7-band equalizer, 3.5mm and 6.3mm inputs, touch control, lighting, and a few things here and there. Check out this space on May 27 for more information.
