Sony WH-1000XM5 India launched finally teased: Read on to know more

Sony launched the WH-1000XM5 headphones in the global market in May 2022 and ever since then, audiophiles in India have been waiting for the noise-canceling headphones to come to India. Now, it seems that the wait will be over as the official launch of the Sony WH-1000XM5 has been teased.

Sony has teased the WH-1000XM5 headphones on its Indian website and a similar teaser has also gone live on Amazon India. The headphones might be a part of the Great Indian Festival Sale that is coming up and Sony might launch them on 23rd September in the country.

Sony WH-1000XM5 Headphones Specs

The headphones claim to give the best noise-canceling capability in the market. They use 8 microphones that help to reduce noise on the medium and high-frequency bands. It has the highest audio quality and features a distinct design compared to the XM4. The company claims it has focused more on comfort. The earcups will be able to rotate sideways but can’t be folded inwards like the previous gen.

The headphones sport 30mm dynamic drivers and use Bluetooth 5.2 wireless connectivity. It has support for codecs like SBC, AAC, LDAC, A2DP, AVRCP, HFP-based DSEE, and more. The headphones have a battery life of up to 30 hours for music playback with ANC on and up to 40 hours with ANC off. Completely charging the headphones will take 3.5 hours and they cost 399.99 USD worldwide, which is equal to about Rs. 31,650 in rupees. It will come in black and white colorways.
