According to a report by Reuters, Take-Two Interactive Software, the company behind Rockstar Games and 2K, has forecasted “fourth-quarter bookings below market expectations.” The company has cut its annual estimates based on the weak demand for its latest gaming titles, such as NBA 2K. Further, intense competition from publishers like Electronic Arts and Activision Blizzard is hurting the company’s revenue.
Take-Two has forecasted fourth-quarter revenue from USD 1.27 billion to 1.32 billion, less than the analysts’ expectation of USD 1.51 billion. The company has also cut its projections for the full-year revenue “to a range of USD 5.25 billion to 5.30 billion,” which is less than its forecast of USD 5.45 billion to 5.55 billion.
