Tata electric mobility unit has finally launched its much-awaited Tata Nexon EV Max in India with significant upgrades. The new Nexon EV Max looks more like the original model in design but now comes with new colour options, a better range and features. 

Tata Nexon EV Max Price and Availability

The Tata Nexon EV Max has been priced at Rs 17.74 lakh for the vanilla model with a 3.3kW charger and it goes up to Rs 19.24 lakh for the top variant that comes with a 7.2kW AC fast charger. It offers three colour options – Intensi-Teal, Daytona Grey, and Pristine White. The booking has been started online and at authorised Tata Motors dealers.

Tata Nexon EV Max Specs

Starting off with the performance, the new Tata Nexon EV Max is built on EV-specific Ziptron architecture and packs a 40.5kWh lithium-ion battery pack. It is powered by a 143PS permanent magnet synchronous AC motor to offer ARAI certified range of 437km on a single charge. The 2021 Nexon EV provides a claimed range of 316km packing a 30.2kWh battery setup.  

The Nexon EV Max produces a torque of 250Nm to deliver an acceleration of 0-100kmph in 9 seconds. The top speed of the EV Max is capped at 140kmph. It allows a multi-mode regeneration feature to adjust the four regen levels through switches on the console.

It ships with a 7.2kW AC fast charger to fully juice the Nexon EV Max in 6.5 hours. It is also compatible with a 50kW DC fast charger to refill the electric car in just 56 minutes.

The new Nexon EV Max battery and motor pack are IP67 rated to be protected against water and weather conditions. It has a host of advanced safety features including ESP, all-four disc brakes, control for hill hold and hill descent, cruise control, electronic parking brake, and dual airbags.

The interior upgrades include a jewelled control knob, air purifier, wireless smartphone charger, ventilated front seats, and dashboard-fitted infotainment screen. The top model also offers an electric sunroof. The exterior design remains similar to the previous model.
