The new Tata Punch takes some cues from the Punch EV in terms of the design, but there seem to be many new elements as well.

The new facelift version of the Tata Punch is expected to come with a slight price hike, making the starting price close to ₹6 lakh (ex-showroom).

Tata Punch 2026: Exterior Design

The teaser unveils the front of the Tata Punch, which looks to have a completely new bumper with black claddings and chrome outline for the air intakes. The updated Tata Punch is also shown to have a front facing camera, along with what seems to be a camera on the ORVM, hinting at a 360-degree camera with the Tata Punch.

At the back, the new Tata Punch seems to come with connected tail lights. With all this, the Tata Punch will still maintain the same silhouette as the outgoing model.

The new Tata Punch is also expected to come with a 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol engine, which is also present in the current model of the Tata Punch. Beyond that, this time around Tata is also expected to introduce a turbo-petrol engine with the Punch facelift. As we can see in the teaser, the “i-Turbo” variant of the new Tata Punch will also come with a 6-speed manual transmission.

The existing naturally aspirated petrol on the Tata Punch creates 88 bhp of power and 115 Nm of torque. The CNG variant, on the other hand, produces 73.5 bhp of power and 103 Nm of torque. The figures for the turbo petrol engine are not known yet, but we expect it to produce around 100 PS of power. Both the CNG and naturally aspirated engine options of the Tata Punch are mated to a 5-speed manual transmission and a 5-speed AMT. These are expected to be carried over to the new Tata Punch as well.
