Tata Motors has just electrified the Indian automotive scene with the thrilling debut of its second electric sports utility vehicle (SUV), the Punch EV. With a captivating starting ex-showroom price of Rs 10.99 lakh, this dynamic addition represents Tata Motors’ electrifying prowess and reaffirms its bold stance in the ever-evolving electric vehicle arena. Tata Punch EV India Price

Tata Motors has officially launched the Punch EV, an electric SUV available in four enticing variants: Smart, Adventure, Empowered, and Empowered +. The top-tier variant, priced at Rs 14.99 lakh (ex-showroom), promises an unparalleled driving experience. Bookings for the Punch EV are now open, allowing customers to reserve their e-SUV through Tata’s exclusive EV-only dealership or the official Tata Motors website, with a booking amount of Rs 21,000. Anticipated deliveries are set to commence next month.

Tata Punch EV Features And Specifications

Tata Motors has unveiled the Punch EV, its latest electric vehicle, which stands out as the first in the company’s lineup to feature the Gen 2 Pure EV platform known as Acti.EV. This platform is designed with a focus on safety, utilizing high-strength materials in its architecture.

In terms of its power source, the Punch EV is equipped with both mid and long-range battery packs. The smaller pack comes with a 25kWH battery unit, while the larger pack boasts a 35kWh capacity. Tata Motors emphasizes that these battery packs incorporate higher density cells, potentially contributing to improved performance and efficiency.

Powertrain and Range

As per Tata Motors, the mid-range model of the Punch EV is expected to achieve a range of 315 kilometers on a single charge, while the top-end variant can cover an impressive distance of 421 kilometers before requiring a recharge. The Punch EV offers users two charging alternatives, featuring a 7.2kW fast home charger. Additionally, Tata Motors highlights the capability of the Punch EV to charge from 10 percent to 80 percent when utilizing 50kW DC fast chargers.

The mid-range iteration of the Tata Punch EV boasts an output of 80bhp and a peak torque of 114 Nm. Contrasting this, the long version of the electric SUV flexes its muscle with a formidable 120bhp power generation and a peak torque of 190 Nm.

Inside the Punch EV, comfort takes center stage with plush leatherette seats and front-row seat ventilation. The vehicle’s tech-savvy interior features a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a digital instrument cluster. Adding to the convenience are modern amenities such as wireless charging, wireless compatibility with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 360-degree camera, and blind spot monitoring.
