TL; DR
  • iOS users get the new “Liquid Glass” look, and Telegram adds upgrades like better gifting, blockchain-linked collectibles, and a built-in bug reporting mini app.
  • You now get live comments and emoji reactions in group calls, making video chats more interactive and fun.
  • You can add private notes to contacts, suggest birthdays, and customize profile colors with new premium themes.

Telegram has rolled out a massive update packed with 12 new features, making your chats more engaging, your profile more personal, and your experience smarter overall. The update, announced on October 11, 2025, focuses on new design, customization, and more AI features.

If you’re on iOS, your app will now look newer with Telegram’s new “Liquid Glass” interface inspired by iOS 26. The keyboard, navigation bar, and sticker panel now have subtle translucent effects while the rest of the UI stays familiar.

Telegram also added private notes for each contact, so you can write reminders about how you met someone or key details about them—visible only to you. You can now suggest birthdays for your contacts or add your own date for others to see and celebrate.

Gifting has been simplified too. The revamped interface shows every option in one place, including marketplace exclusives. Gift prices drop over time, and you can remove signatures using Telegram Stars if you want to stay anonymous.

Premium users get even more control over their profiles, with advanced color customizations and background options pulled from their digital gift collections. You can also add animated replies and unique link styles to make your profile stand out.

Bots have gotten a serious upgrade. You can now chat with bots using threaded conversations, making it easier to manage multiple topics at once. AI bots can reply in real time for faster and smoother interactions, and developers can introduce paid subscriptions for their bots.

If you’re into collectibles, Telegram now lets you link your Fragment account to display blockchain-based gifts right on your profile, ensuring verified ownership. You can also drop live comments and emoji reactions during group calls and video chats with up to 1,000 participants.

And finally, Telegram introduced a mini app for reporting bugs and submitting suggestions directly within the app, making it easier for users to share feedback instantly.

This is a major update for Telegram, and I’m most excited to try the new Liquid Glass design. I also really like the addition of private notes. Telegram truly remains one of the most feature-rich messaging apps out there.
