TL; DR
  • Tesla chose Aerocity as it is a high-profile commercial establishment located next to the Indira Gandhi International Airport, major hotels, and several embassies.
  • Tesla’s second experience center is spread over 8,200 square feet, making it bigger than the one in BKC, Mumbai.
  • Tesla has also announced its plans to expand its service network in the country, including Tesla-approved collision repair centers, service centers, remote diagnostics for any software-related issue, and mobile service for home repairs.

Tesla has opened its second experience center in India on August 11, 2025, at Worldmark 3, Aerocity, New Delhi. This follows the first showroom inaugurated at Mumbai’s BKC less than a month ago. While the new experience center offers a closer look at the company’s Model Y EV, it also provides four new V4 Superchargers (250kW DC).

Why Did Tesla Choose Aerocity For Its Second Experience Center?

Tesla chose Aerocity as it is a high-profile commercial establishment located next to the Indira Gandhi International Airport, major hotels, and several embassies. As a result, it should benefit from high footfall from business and government personnel, along with international travellers.

In addition, proximity to key infrastructure ensures easy access to test drives and other logistics. We checked on Google Maps, and the showroom is five to seven minutes away (walking) or 500 meters away from the Delhi Aero City metro station.

Tesla’s second experience center is spread over 8,200 square feet, making it bigger than the one in BKC, Mumbai. Alongside four V4 Superchargers, the Aerocity showroom also offers three destination chargers (11kW max, self park).

Tesla To Expand Its Service And Charger Network By Next Year

Tesla has also announced its plans to expand its service network in the country, including Tesla-approved collision repair centers, service centers, remote diagnostics for any software-related issue, and mobile service for home repairs.

Regarding the automaker’s future plans, it intends to begin with the deliveries of Tesla Model Y in Q3 2025, starting from Mumbai and Delhi. Further, Tesla aims to deploy 16 Superchargers in the aforementioned cities and expand its experience centers to Gurugram and Pune by 2026.

In another year or two, the company should finalize the location for its Indian manufacturing unit and start selling affordable EVs that aren’t affected by the import duties in place by the government of India.
