Tesla is making its first official move into Bengaluru. Starting January 15 through January 31, 2026, the company is setting up a temporary pop-up experience at the ACKO Drive Service Centre in Kudlu Gate.
It’s a significant moment for the city’s EV enthusiasts. While Tesla has already established a presence in Mumbai, Delhi, and Gurugram, this marks the first time the brand has planted a flag in the “Silicon Valley of India.”
What’s at the pop-up?
This isn’t just a static display. Tesla is bringing four Model Y vehicles for a hands-on experience. You can get Interactive Demos, meaning guided walkarounds focused on Tesla’s software stack, safety systems, and the minimalist design that has become the brand’s signature.
Experts will be on-site to explain home charging setups and how the Supercharger network works in India.
How to book a test drive
Unlike a traditional showroom, you can’t just walk in and demand the keys. Tesla is offering test drives from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM daily, but pre-booking is mandatory.
Note: Slots are expected to fill up quickly. You’ll need to register via the official Tesla India website to secure a time.
Tesla Model Y
The Model Y was the world’s best-selling car in 2023 and 2024, and it’s the vehicle Tesla is betting on to crack the Indian luxury market.
| Feature | Model Y Rear-Wheel Drive | Model Y Long Range RWD |
| WLTP Range | 500 km | 661 km |
| 0–100 km/h | 5.9 seconds | 5.6 seconds |
| Top Speed | 201 km/h | 201 km/h |
| Base Price | ₹59,89,000 | ₹67,89,000 |
Prices are ex-showroom. Both variants require a ₹22,220 deposit and a ₹50,000 service fee.
Is Tesla finally here in Bengaluru?
The Bengaluru pop-up is a strategic test. By utilizing the ACKO Drive facility, Tesla is expanding its reach without the overhead of a permanent flagship store, at least for now. It’s a clear signal that the company is moving past its “import-only” experimental phase and is actively building a customer base in the south.
For potential buyers, it’s the first real chance to see if the American Dream of EVs holds up on Bengaluru’s infamous Outer Ring Road.
