Smartphones in the mid-range segment have come a long way, especially when it comes to camera quality. You no longer need to spend flagship-level money to get stunning photos or reliable low-light shots. In 2025, several phones under ₹40,000 deliver impressive image performance, versatile camera setups, and solid video quality. So, if you’re looking for the best camera phone that fits your budget, here are the top models worth checking out.

The Best Camera Phones Under ₹40,000 in 2025
  1. realme GT 7
  2. OPPO Reno14
  3. vivo T4 Ultra
  4. vivo V60
  5. Samsung Galaxy S24 FE
  6. OnePlus 13R

1. realme GT 7

realme GT 7

The realme GT 7 delivers good camera quality for the price. The 50 MP main sensor with OIS captures fine details in different lighting, backed by a 50 MP 2X telephoto for zoomed shots and an 8 MP ultra-wide lens for wide shots. It records 4K videos on the rear at up to 120 FPS, with solid stabilization. The 32 MP front camera is also good for the price.

It packs a 6.78-inch 120Hz 1.5K LTPO OLED display, Dimensity 9400e chip, and a 7,000 mAh battery with 120W charging. The device runs on Realme UI 6.0 based on Android 15 and will receive 4 years of OS updates + 6 years of security updates.

2. OPPO Reno14

Reno14

The OPPO Reno14 captures good photos for its price. The 50 MP main sensor with OIS delivers fine detail, while the 50 MP telephoto (3.5X JN5 f2.8) does a good job when it comes to zoomed in shots. It performs well in bright light and stays decent in low light, with 4K video that’s actually good. The 50 MP front camera with AF is great for selfies.

The device runs on the Dimensity 8350 chip and features a 6.59-inch 120Hz 1.5K OLED display, plus a 6,000 mAh battery with 80W charging. It comes with a bunch of camera features, and runs on ColorOS 15 based on Android 15. OPPO has promised 3 years of OS updates and 4 years of security updates. The Reno14 comes with UFS 3.1 storage.

3. vivo T4 Ultra

vivo T4 Ultra

The vivo T4 Ultra handles image processing really well for those who like vivo’s style. Its 50 MP Sony IMX921 main and 50 MP periscope telephoto (3X with 15cm macro) are some of the best in the segment, capturing good images. However, the videos can be lacking and the selfie camera could’ve been better. It has an 8MP ultra-wide in case you’re wondering.

It includes a 6.67-inch 120Hz 1080p AMOLED display, Dimensity 9300+ chip, and a 5,500 mAh battery with 90W charging. The vivo T4 Ultra comes with Funtouch OS 15 and 3 years of OS updates + 4 years of security updates. It will soon be updated to OriginOS 6, hopefully.

4. vivo V60

vivo V60

The vivo V60 stands out with its telephoto lens and ZEISS chops. It includes a 50 MP Sony IMX766 main camera, 50 MP 3X telephoto, and 8 MP ultra-wide lens. The 3X zoom adds creative options, and the large main sensor is also nice. However, there is no macro support, which is disappointing given the similarly-priced T4 Ultra has it.

Nonetheless, the vivo V60 has a better front camera when compared to the T4 Ultra. It’s a 50 MP camera with AF and wide field of view. There are also options for several ZEISS portrait modes built into the camera app.

The vivo V60 runs on the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chip and sports a 6.77-inch 120Hz 1080p AMOLED display. It has a 6,500 mAh battery with support for 90W fast charging. The device runs on Funtouch OS 15, and comes with 4 years of OS updates and 6 years of security updates. Unfortunately, the device comes with UFS 2.2 storage and 128GB as base.

5. Samsung Galaxy S24 FE

Galaxy S24 FE

If you want something from Samsung, the Samsung Galaxy S24 FE is a decent option. It’s got a nice 50 MP main shooter, a 12 MP ultra-wide camera, and an 8 MP telephoto that’s honestly not so great but it’s there. The 10 MP front camera is also so-so but the videos are good and you can shoot in 8K from the main camera.

The Samsung Galaxy S24 FE packs a 6.7-inch 120Hz 1080p Dynamic AMOLED 2X display, Exynos 2400e chip, and a 4,700 mAh battery with 25W charging. It runs on One UI 6.1 (now One UI 8) based on Android 14 and will receive 7 years of OS updates + 7 years of security updates.

6. OnePlus 13R

OnePlus 13R

The OnePlus 13R offers a good camera experience with its 50 MP main and 50 MP 2X telephoto lens. It supports 4K video on the rear, and that actually looks good. The 8 MP ultra-wide camera does the job in daylight. There’s also a 16 MP selfie camera for when you need it.

It features a 6.78-inch 120Hz 1.5K LTPO AMOLED display, Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, and 6,000 mAh battery with 80W charging. It runs on OxygenOS 15 based on Android 15 and will receive 4 years of OS updates + 5 years of security updates.
