TL; DR
  • A OnePlus 15T prototype appeared on Geekbench, confirming the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5.
  • The 6.32-inch flat display reportedly features bezels thinner than those on the iPhone 17 Pro.
  • A massive 7,500 mAh cell with 100W wired and 50W wireless charging leads the spec sheet.

OnePlus isn’t even trying to keep the OnePlus 15T a secret at this point. A prototype carrying the model number PLZ110 has turned up in the Geekbench database, and it’s confirmed what the rumour mill has been saying for weeks — the phone runs on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5.

OnePlus 15T Might Feature Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 After All

Scores came in at 3,440 single-core and 10,523 multi-core — nothing that’ll break the internet, but exactly what you’d want from a top-tier chip in early testing. The prototype had 16GB of RAM on board and was already running Android 16, which at least tells you OnePlus isn’t scrambling on the software side.

But here’s the part that’s actually interesting. Beyond the chipset confirmation, the 15T is shaping up to be a properly well-rounded package. OnePlus has officially confirmed a 6.32-inch flat display with bezels so slim they’re reportedly thinner than those on the iPhone 17 Pro — which will either genuinely impress you or make you wonder what we’ve come to as a society.

An ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor rounds out the front. But honestly, the battery is where this phone makes its loudest statement — 7,500 mAh with 100W wired and 50W wireless charging. That’s a big number, and it’s the kind of thing that’ll have people side-eyeing their current phone, wondering where it all went wrong.

Throw in an upgraded periscope telephoto camera, and the 15T starts to look less like a refresh and more like OnePlus genuinely trying to put together something worth getting excited about.

No launch date yet, but at this rate, OnePlus might as well just hold the press conference on Geekbench.
