Toyota Urban Cruiser Ebella vs Maruti Suzuki E-Vitara – Design and Styling
The design and styling is where the most major difference in the two cars lies. The Toyota Urban Cruiser Ebella and the Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara are both similar in terms of the dimensions and silhouette, but the styling makes each of the two stand out in their own way. The Toyota Urban Cruiser Ebella has a sleek hammerhead-like design with a more modern looking design. The front has these pixel-like segmented DRLs as compared to the Maruti e-Vitara’s Y-shaped DRLs.

The Urban Cruiser Ebella also has a cleaner bumper design with sharper cuts on the front hood. The e-Vitara, on the other hand, comes with a more rugged and upright look. We get a chunky, muscular bumper which also has the fog lamps integrated in it, and it comes with thicker claddings on the front bumper.
At the rear as well, the differences are very evident. While the shapes and casings of things are the same, it is the implementation that separates the two. The Toyota Urban Cruiser Ebella has a similar pixel-dot LED setup for the tail lights, with a clear-coloured bottom half. The Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara, on the other hand, comes with slated LEDs for the tail lamps and only has a little clear part for the reverse lights.
In terms of the dimensions, wheelbase, and wheel size, the Toyota Urban Cruiser Ebella and Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara are identical. Both come with 18-inch alloy wheels, both have a 2,700mm wheelbase and both measure the same in terms of the height, width, and length of the cars.

Toyota Urban Cruiser Ebella vs Maruti Suzuki E-Vitara – Conclusion
All the features, powertrains, battery, and tech point to one direction – why wait for something that’s already in the market? While the e-Vitara is still not announced or unveiled for the general public, in my opinion it won’t make any difference now. The only two people who should still wait for the Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara are either Maruti Suzuki loyalists – people who refuse to drive anything apart from Maruti cars. Second, those who don’t like how the Toyota Urban Cruiser Ebella looks. It is astonishing to see a brand as big as Maruti Suzuki fall so behind that someone else is launching and selling their product before them.
The Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara has been one of the most anticipated EVs in the country. First showcased a year back at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2025, the Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara is still only being teased and showcased to select groups. During the same time, Maruti itself has launched major products like the Victoris and other brands have raced past Maruti Suzuki with products like the Mahindra BE6/ XEV 9e, the Hyundai Creta EV, the Tata Harrier EV, and now Toyota has brought its first EV to India, which is the e-Vitara before Maruti Suzuki could decide on their launch and sales strategy. Here’s a free sales strategy – Maruti Suzuki should sell their remaining e-Vitara inventory for India to Toyota, since there is a greater chance for Toyota to push volumes in the 20-lakh plus segment as compared to Maruti Suzuki.
