OTT Platforms are booming with new releases every single day. Whether it is web series or movies, every day there is lots of new stuff streaming on platforms like Netflix India, Amazon Prime, Hotstar, and Jio Cinema to name a few. 2023 has also seen various big-ticket direct-to-OTT movie releases like Shahid Kapoor starrer Bloody Daddy, Siddharth Malhotra starrer Mission Majnu, and, Manoj Bajpayee starrer Gulmohar. Now following the same route, Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor starrer ‘Bawaal’ has been confirmed to stream on OTT, thus skipping theatrical release. The movie directed by Dangal fame Nitish Tiwari will stream in July, though the date hasn’t been confirmed yet.

Bawaal has been confirmed to release on Amazon Prime Video in July. The OTT giant has announced that it will directly release the romantic love story in July. Viewers will need a subscription to watch the movie on Amazon Prime Video. Watch the first poster of the movie here.

Reports claim that the movie cost around Rs. 2.5 crore per day, thus making it the most expensive movie of both Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor.

July 2023 Packed with Movie Releases
While the first week of July will see Kartik Aryan and Kiara Advani starrer Satyaprem Ki Katha in theatres, Indiana Jones: The Dial of Destiny will also run simultaneously.
Hollywood has more releases than Bollywood in July 2023 as it will release Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning Part 1 on July 14, and Christopher Nolan’s period drama Oppenheimer and Greta Grewig’s adaptation of Barbie staring Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling on July 21.
The end of July will see Karan Johar’s comeback as a director with Rocky aur Rani ki Prem Kahaani. Bawaal’s release date has not been announced yet, but it will release in July for sure.
Lead stars Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor are not new to the OTT arena as Bawaal is Varun’s 2nd Direct to OTT release after Coolie No. 1 and it is Janhvi’s 5th direct OTT release after Gunjan Saxena, Good Luck Jerry, Milli and her appearance in Ghost Stories.
