As expected, Vivo has unveiled a wow-worthy design of the new Apex 2019. The new Apex has what Vivo terms as ‘waterdrop design’ and is devoid of any physical buttons (Almost as the Meizu zero). So, without any further ado, let’s get into the details.

Vivo APEX 2019 Standout Features

The announcement took place at a press conference in Beijing. Its a nearly hole-less phone with just a port, of sorts called as MagPort. This port is a magnetic connector on the rear which is used for charging and data transfer.

Yeah, it has been just announced and holly molly, the videos showcasing the beauty has surfaced online. In the above video, we could see the phone’s 6.39-inch AMOLED display. This display acts as the speaker by using the piezoelectric transducer mechanism to emit sound. The namesake bezels add to a larger screen real estate. Interestingly, the whole display acts as a fingerprint reader.

But, where is the front camera? It’s invisible and Vivo didn’t spill any detail on it. As soon as we get any clue or confirmation, you’ll be the first to be informed. As for the rear cameras, the device sports a dual camera setup of 12MP + 13MP with an LED flash.

Vivo Apex 2019

The Vivo Apex 2019 could be using pressure sensors to replace the standard power and volume buttons. In other words, with a combination of capacitive touch and pressure-sensing, you could do the aforementioned commands.

Now jumping to other highlights, the device would be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset, coupled with a whopping 12GB of RAM. Out of the box, the phones comes with 256GB or 512GB onboard storage. Apart from these overwhelming specs and features, this could be Vivo’s first 5G phone too!

Like the yesteryears, Vivo has surprised the smartphone world with this smartphone. However, since its a concept phone, the final product or the one Vivo would be launching for mass markets could be different. Anyhow, a lot to look out for at the Mobile World Congress. We hope Vivo reiterates its magic of the first 2018 Apex concept phone.
