Vivo Confirms The Chinese Launch Date For X Fold6, Indian Launch Could Follow Soon

After confirming the chipset and camera details about the X Fold6, vivo has now announced the launch date as well. In the company’s native market, the foldable releases on June 26, 2026. Pre-orders are already live on the official website.

vivo X Fold6: Indian Launch Timeline

For now, the company hasn’t announced an Indian launch date. However, that doesn’t mean we can’t speculate about it. 

The X Fold5 launched in India on July 14, 2025, roughly four to five weeks after its Chinese debut. If the X Fold6 follows a similar pattern, an Indian launch could take place in late July or early August. 

Previous reports have also tipped a starting price of around ₹1,59,999, which appears to be in line with what the X Fold5. However, keep in mind that vivo hasn’t confirmed the launch timeline and the price yet.

vivo X Fold6: What’s Confirmed So Far

Although the Indian launch date isn’t out yet, the company has confirmed several key specifications ahead of the foldable’s Chinese launch. 

The X Fold6 will feature a 200MP Samsung HPB primary camera, a 50MP Zeiss APO periscope telephoto lens, both with CIPA 4.5-rated stabilization. The phone will also support Zeiss 200mm Teleconverter G2, the accessory that debuted with the X200 Ultra.

Under the hood, the X Fold6 will be based on the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 Super Edition chipset, and sports an 8.02-inch inner display. The foldable with OriginOS 6 Fold. Rumors indicate that the smartphone could be equipped with a 6,900mAh battery and a 6.51-inch cover display.
