vivo has launched OriginOS 6 globally, officially retiring Funtouch OS and bringing its once China-exclusive software experience to users worldwide. The Origin Smooth Engine anchors the update, boosting app cold start speeds by 18.5%, stabilizing frame rates by 10.5%, and improving animation responsiveness by 35% with Dual Rendering and the new Origin Animation System (Spring, Blur Transition, Morphing, and One Shot effects). The Snap-Up Engine makes rapid app switching up to 16% faster across consecutive launches.
OriginOS also brings Origin Island (similar to Apple’s Dynamic Island), a persistent on-screen hub that lets you copy text to calls or calendar events (Copy & Go) or drag edits into apps (Drag & Go).
