The next in Vivo’s innovative Nex series is now official. The Nex 3 comes in 4G and 5G variants and brandishes ‘extreme’ display curves on the two side edges. In fact, these curves are so steep (almost 90-degrees) that they don’t leave enough room for power key and volume rocker. Vivo has resorted to using pressure-sensitive keys that respond with haptic feedback.

Other highlights of the Vivo Nex 3 include Snapdragon 855+ chipset, 64-megapixel camera, and 44 Watt ultra-fast charging.

Vivo Nex 3 5G Price and Availability

Vivo Nex 3 will be available in China starting September 21. Vivo also plans to make the Nex 3 4G and Nex 3 5G available in Asia Pacific, Southeast Asia and other markets in the coming months.

  • Vivo Nex 3 4G (8GB + 128GB) – CNY 4998  – Approx. Rs 50,000
  • Vivo Nex 3 5G (8GB + 256GB) – CNY 5698 – Approx. Rs 58,000
  • Vivo Nex 3 5G (12GB + 256GB) – CNY 6198 – Approx. Rs 62,000

Vivo Nex 3 Features

The waterfall display takes the center stage with the Vivo Nex 3. The panel 6.89-inches and covers screen 99.6% of the fascia. Effective screen dimensions after eliminating the almost-90-degree bends should be a tad smaller, though. Anyways, the AMOLED display is absolutely notch-free and HDR10 compatible, but the resolution is only Full HD+.

Both Nex 3 models have triple rear cameras with Samsung’s 64MP GW1 sensor in the lead. This is paired with a zoom camera (2X) and a customary depth sensor. The 16MP selfie camera is present in a BIG pop-up housing, similar to that on the Vivo V17 Pro.

The performance hardware is top-notch. There’s Snapdragon 855+ paired with UFS 3.0 storage and assisted by generous helpings of RAM and oodles of UFS 3.0 storage, based on the amount of money you are willing to shell out, of course.

This is not a compact phone by any means, and on the upside that leaves more free room for the battery. The Nex 3 takes houses a beefy 4500mAh power unit with 44W fast charging.
