  • Features a 6.83-inch curved AMOLED display hitting 3,000 nits peak brightness.

Vivo has revived its long-dormant S-series in India with the new S2 5G. It features a unique selling point: a flagship-like design and feature set without the flagship pricing. While it isn’t one of the most affordable mid-rangers on the market, it definitely backs its asking price with its hardware and software.

Vivo S2: Pricing & Availability

The Vivo S2 arrives in two configurations, both carrying 8GB of RAM (thanks to the memory crisis).

  • Vivo S2 (8GB + 128GB): ₹39,999
  • Vivo S2 (8GB + 256GB): ₹49,999 (though its available on Amazon for ₹44,999)

The company is also offering a 10% instant discount along with additional cashback on select bank cards at launch.

Vivo S2: Key Features & Specifications

At the core of the S2 sits a 6.83-inch 3D curved AMOLED panel with 1.5K resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and HDR10+ support. The panel is capable of hitting 3,000 nits of peak local brightness (the global brightness will remain lower than this number).

Powering the device is MediaTek’s Dimensity 7360, which isn’t as powerful as the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 also available around the same price, but it gets the job done. Out of the box, the phone ships with OriginOS 6 based on Android 16.

When it comes to optics, the Vivo S2 features one 50MP (f/1.8) primary camera paired with another auxiliary lens, and a 32MP camera on the front. Both of them can record 4K videos at 30 fps.
