Vivo S6 5G with Exynos 980 and 48MP Quad Rear Cameras Goes Official

Vivo S6 is the newest 5G phone in the market. It packs the Exynos 980 chipset, which if you recall, is the same chip found inside Vivo X30 handsets and Galaxy A71 (review). This is a 5G integrated silicon from Samsung. Rest, this new Vivo smartphone boasts 48MP quad rear cameras which are placed within a circular camera bump. From the front, the phone looks familiar.

Vivo S6 5G Specs and Features

Beginning with the 5G, it is dual-mode, which means support for SA and NSA bands. The 5G prowess is thanks to the Exynos 980, an 8nm-based chip clocked at 2.2GHz.

The internals also comprises of 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB/256GB UFS 2.1 storage. A generously big 4500 mAh battery keeps it ticking. It is backed by an 18W charger.

Vivo S6 5G goes official

The frontier sports a 6.44-inch Full HD+ AMOLED screen with an underlying fingerprint scanner. There is a waterdrop notch atop that houses a 32MP sensor for selfies.

Swivel to the back, you’ll find a 48MP quartet. The other incumbents are an 8MP ultrawide shooter, 2MP 4cm super macro lens, and a 2MP portrait lens.

You also get a 3.5mm audio jack, Hi-Res audio, Dual-SIM, Bluetooth 5.1, and everything else in between.

Vivo S6 5G Pricing and Availability

The Vivo S6 5G is out in White, Blue and Black colors, priced at 2698 yuan (~Rs. 28,680) for the 128GB storage model and 2998 yuan (~Rs. 31,880) for the 256GB SKU.

It is currently launched in China and there’s no word on India availability so far.
