The Chinese smartphone manufacturer Vivo has launched a new mid-range smartphone in the country: Vivo T3 Ultra. Compared to other models in the segment, the T3 Ultra offers flagship-grade performance, a capable 50MP primary sensor, and a multi-day 5,500 mAh battery. The phone starts at Rs. 31,999, but buyers can also take advantage of the introductory offer that cuts Rs. 3,000 from the listing price.
Vivo T3 Ultra Design

The T3 Ultra (review) is available in two colors: Lunar Gray and Frost Green.
First, the smartphone has a curved front screen with minimal bezels on the left/right sides and slightly thicker borders on the top/bottom. A punch-hole cutout on the screen makes room for the front camera. While the power button and volume rockers are on the right side, the speaker grill and the USB-C port are on the bottom.
The smartphone’s rear panel (made of glass) has a clean finish, with the camera module located toward the top left and the company’s branding on the bottom left. Further, it has an official IP68 dust and water resistance rating. On the front, the smartphone has SCHOTT Xensation Cover Glass for enhanced drop protection.
If the smartphone looks familiar, it is only because it is built on the Vivo V40 Pro (review). Vivo claims the T3 Ultra is the slimmest curved phone with a 5,500 mAh battery. The phone’s dimensions are 164.16 × 74.93 × 7.58mm, while it weighs 192 grams.

Vivo T3 Ultra Specifications And Features

The T3 Ultra ships with a 6.78-inch 1.5K AMOLED screen that supports 120Hz of maximum refresh rate and a local peak brightness of 4,500 nits (which doesn’t apply to the entire screen). With a pixel density of 452 ppi, the screen appears sharp. It also supports 100% of the DCI-P3 color space and is certified by SGS for eye protection. Complementing the screen are Closed-Box dual stereo speakers for immersive sound.
Under the hood, the T3 Ultra runs on a MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ SoC, which is based on TSMC’s 4nm fabrication technology. The chipset features an octa-core CPU, with one 3.35GHz price core, three 3.0Ghz performance cores, and four 2.0GHz balanced cores. For those wondering, the chipset’s performance can be compared to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, which powers smartphones like the Galaxy S23 5G, the OnePlus 12R, and so on.

The Vivo T3 Ultra comes in three configurations: 8/128GB, 8/256GB, and 12/256GB. What’s worth mentioning is that the phone features LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 3.1 storage, which contributes to the flagship performance it claims to provide. Out of the box, the phone runs on Functouch OS 14, which is based on Android 14. Further, Vivo has promised to provide two years of major software upgrades and three years of security upgrades.
Regarding optics, you get a 50MP (f/1.9) Sony IMX921 primary sensor and an 8MP (f/2.2) ultrawide camera. Instead of a regular LED flash, the smartphone includes a Smart Aura Light. On the front, you get a 50MP (f/2.0) group selfie camera with autofocus. Some of the main camera features include 4K video recording at 60 fps, Festival Portrait Mode, and optical image stabilization on the primary sensor. The phone also offers AI Erase and AI Photo Enhance.

Connectivity options on the handset include 5GHz Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.3, USB 2.0, GPS, and OTG. In the box, users also get a charger.
