vivo India has launched a new 5G mid-ranger in the country with a 120Hz display, the Dimensity 7400 Pro chipset, and a 50MP primary camera — vivo T5x 5G. It is priced under Rs. 20,000, which makes it a compelling option for those looking for a capable yet affordable smartphone.

vivo T5x 5G: Price & Availability

The vivo smartphone will be available to purchase via Flipkart and the company’s official website from March 24, 2026. 

Launch offers include up to Rs. 2,000 instant discount (via Axis Bank, HDFC Bank, and SBI cards and/or UPI purchase). Up to six months of no-cost EMI and free access to 10 OTT apps for six months (on a Rs. 1,199 Jio prepaid recharge plan).

The vivo T5x features a punch-hole screen on the front with non-symmetrical bezels around the screen, a thicker chin at the bottom, a squircle dual-camera module on the back panel, and the company’s branding at the bottom left. It is available in two colors: Star Silver and Cyber Green.

The handset complies with military-grade durability (MIL-STD-810H). It also comes with dual IP ratings: IP68 and IP69.

To kick things off, the vivo T5x 5G sports a 6.76-inch FHD+ LCD screen that supports a 120Hz refresh rate and can achieve a peak brightness of 1200 nits. Under the hood, the smartphone runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Turbo (4nm) chipset, paired with up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM (and 8GB virtual memory) and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. 

Out of the factory, the vivo T5x 5G comes installed with OriginOS 6, which is based on Android 16. The software support — two years for major operating systems and four years for security updates — isn’t as good as Samsung’s, but still pretty decent for the price. 

To capture pictures, the handset features a 50MP (f/1.8) primary camera, a 2MP (f/2.4) depth sensor (as part of the dual-rear-facing cameras), and a 32MP (f/2.45) selfie shooter. Both the primary and the front camera support 4K30 video recording.

Powering the handset is a massive 7,200 mAh battery that supports 44W wired charging. Connectivity options on the handset include 5G, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth v5.4, and a USB Type-C 2.0 port.
