Vivo U1 With 4,030mAh Battery, Waterdrop Notch Launched in China

Unlike the routine, Vivo has launched Vivo U1 which is rebranded Vivo Y95 (Review). However, they feature a larger memory option to justify the price difference. So, let’s dive into the pricing details and other Vivo U1 features.

Vivo U1 Features

As for the rear optics, Vivo offers a 13MP (F/2.2) primary camera and a 2MP (F/2.4) depth sensor. You could unlock the device using the rear-mounted fingerprint reader. You could also USE FaceWake, which is another fancy term for Face Unlock.

The phone sports a 6.22-inch display with 1520 x 720 resolution. Like most recent phones, it also comes with a waterdrop notch housing an 8 MP sensor with an f/2.0 lens.

Under-the-hood, it is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 439 SoC paired with 3/4GB RAM variants. This comes with onboard storage of 32/64GB which is expandable up to  256GB. On the software side, you get FunTouch 4.5 OS, based on Android Oreo.

Vivo U1 is fueled by a 4,030 mAh battery capacity. Other important details include the availability of a micro USB port and 3.5 mm audio jack. It also offers IP58 protection.

Its available in three color gradients viz. Starry Night Black, Aurora Blue, and Aurora Red. An interesting aspect of their aesthetics is the different shades of purple/blue on the bottom side of the panel.

Vivo U1 Pricing and Availability

If you are in China, you could grab the new Vivo U1’s 3GB RAM plus 32GB storage variant for CNY799, 3GB RAM plus 64GB storage variant for CNY999, and finally, the 4GB RAM plus 64GB storage one for CNY1,199. The phone is available via Vivo’s online store, and the shipping will begin from February 26.
