TL; DR
  • vivo has officially teased the V70 series in India and confirmed a February 2026 launch, with a new Elite variant.
  • The V70 Elite brings Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, UFS 4.1 storage, a metal frame, ZEISS triple cameras, and IP69.
  • This marks a major upgrade over the V60 series, which used UFS 2.2 storage and barely differentiated the Elite variant.

vivo has officially started teasing the vivo V70 and vivo V70 Elite in India, with a dedicated landing page on Flipkart and promotional posts across social media confirming a February 2026 launch. For the first time, vivo is introducing the “Elite” branding in the V series, clearly separating the top model from the standard variant.

The vivo V70 runs on the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset, while the vivo V70 Elite steps up to the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3. vivo pairs both phones with UFS 4.1 storage, and the Elite also adds a metal frame to improve build quality and overall feel.

vivo focuses heavily on cameras this time. Both phones use a ZEISS-tuned triple rear camera setup with a 50MP main sensor with OIS and a 50MP 3X periscope telephoto. The ultra-wide camera on the V70 is an 8MP unit while the V70 Elite packs a 50MP unit.

On the front, vivo equips both models with a 50MP selfie camera. The display remains the same across the lineup, featuring a flat 1.5K OLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate.

vivo has packed a 6,500mAh battery on both models, paired with 90W fast charging. There’s also IP69 dust and water resistance for both models. The software runs on OriginOS 6 based on Android 16, alongside AI features such as AI Holi Festive Portrait, AI Magic Weather, and Flower Blessing.

A New Approach

This new approach marks a clear departure from the V60 series. vivo sold the V60 Elite as essentially the same phone as the regular V60 with a higher 512GB storage option, and both V60 models used UFS 2.2 storage.

With the V70 series, vivo now delivers an upper mid-range chipset, faster UFS 4.1 storage (across the lineup), improved materials, and some camera upgrades too.

vivo V70 and V70 Elite Pricing

vivo has not announced pricing yet, but our sources suggest the V70 series will stay under ₹55,000 in India, with the Elite positioned at the top. vivo should be revealing the full specifications, color options, and availability details closer to launch through Flipkart and official channels.
