TL; DR
- The Vivo V70 has appeared on multiple regulatory databases, suggesting its launch is imminent.
- Leaks indicate a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chip, Android 16, and a sub-₹40,000 price in India.
A Vivo handset with model number V2538 has been identified in the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) database. For those catching up, this is Singapore’s regulatory authority that certifies smartphones before they’re launched in the region.

Vivo V70 Appears on Singapore’s IMDA Database

Although the listing doesn’t reveal the smartphone’s name, it does indicate that the handset will support 5G, NFC, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth. However, the handset is unanimously believed to be the upcoming Vivo V70.
A similar Vivo smartphone also surfaced on the United States regulatory body’s database (as the handset supports the same connectivity options).
Elsewhere, the handset is said to run on OriginOS 6 based on Android 16, feature at least 12GB of RAM, and 256GB of storage. However, it is worth pointing out that the company hasn’t confirmed (or teased) any of these details.
Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 Performance Expectations
According to an older Geekbench listing, the Vivo V70 could be powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 SoC (alongside Adreno 722 GPU and 8GB of RAM), a fairly capable mid-range processor.
We also know about the handset’s CPU benchmark scores: 1,235/3,910 points in the single/multi-core test. We’re expecting the Vivo V70 5G to debut in India at Rs. 39,999.
More details about the handset should be available online in the coming days, and the brand should confirm them soon.
