Vivo X Fold 2, Vivo X Flip & Vivo Pad 2 launching in China on April 20: Read on to know more

Tech brand Vivo is expanding its foldable as well as tablet portfolio with the launch of two new foldables and the successor to the Vivo Pad. Vivo has confirmed that all three devices will be launched in China on April 20. While the Vivo X Fold 2 is the successor to Vivo X Fold that came out in 2022, Vivo X Flip is the brand’s 1st ever flip phone that comes with a clamshell-like design. The Vivo Pad 2 is obviously the successor to the previously launched Vivo Pad.

Multiple teasers have been shared by Vivo on its Weibo account that confirms the launch date of these 3 new devices to be 20th April at 7 PM (local time) which is 4:30 PM according to Indian Standard Time.

Vivo Pad 2: Expected Specs

The Vivo Pad 2 is expected to sport a 12.1-inch LCD 2.8K display with a 144Hz refresh rate and a 2560×1600 pixel resolution. It is said to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 chipset with up to 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and up to 512GB UFS 3.1 storage.

The design is also expected to get some tweaks to make it better than the predecessor, while the rear will get a dual camera setup (13MP+2MP) with an LED flash. The back will also sport a Vivo Logo in the center. There will be an 8MP selfie camera for video calls. The tablet is rumored to pack a 10,000mAh battery under the hood with 44W fast charging support.

The Vivo Pad 2 is expected to come with a bundled keyboard and a Vivo Pencil.

Vivo X Fold 2: Expected Specs

The Vivo X Fold 2 is said to sport an 8.03-inch foldable E6 AMOLED panel with a 2160×1916 pixel resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and 1800 nits brightness. The foldable is expected to have a cover screen measuring 6.53 inches that will have a 2520×1080 pixel resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 1600 nits.

The Vivo X Fold 2 might be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset with 12GB RAM and 512GB storage onboard. It may house a triple camera setup on the rear end with a 50MP primary, 12MP ultrawide, and a 12MP telephoto camera. There are also expected to be two 16MP front cameras (one on the main screen and one on the cover screen) for selfies and video calls. The upcoming Vivo foldable is also expected to get Vivo V2 ISP support for better photography.

The Vivo X Fold 2 is rumored to pack a 4800mAh battery under the hood with 120W wired and 50W wireless charging. It will run OriginOS based on Android 13.

Vivo X Flip: Expected Specs

Vivo X Flip will be the first ever flip phone by the brand and it is expected to feature a 6.8-inch foldable main display with an FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It is said to have a rectangular cover screen with a resolution of 682 pixels and might be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen SoC. It may run Android 13 OS and pack a 4400mAh battery with 44W wired fast charging.

In terms of camera optics, the Vivo X Flip is said to have a Zeiss-powered dual camera setup at the back. It might include a 50MP Sony IMX866 main sensor and a 12MP Sony IMX663 ultrawide lens.

Although the China launch has been confirmed, there is still no news about the global or Indian launch of these devices. Meanwhile, more will be known about the features, design, and pricing of these new launches as the day of launch gets closer.
