After months of teasers and conversation, the Vivo X30 series has officially debuted in China. Both Vivo X30 and X30 Pro are 5G enabled phones, thanks to the Exynos 980 SoC powering them. If you’d jog your memory, this is the 5G integrated chipset from Samsung, announced back in September. So, Vivo has partnered with the South Korean brand to bring forth the X30 handsets. That said, let’s get the ball rolling to see what’s new with them.

Vivo X30 Pro highlights

Vivo X30 Pro is a flagship-grade device, and as such we get an interesting mix of ingredients. Kicking off with the display, it’s a 6.44-inch FHD+ sAMOLED punch-hole panel with an in-display fingerprint sensor underneath. Vivo claims peak brightness of 1200 nits, HDR support, and a contrast ratio of 2000000:1 on this screen. The resident within that indention, which is BTW, smallest to date, is a 32-megapixel shooter.

Swivel to the rear and you’ll see a quad setup which consists of a primary 64-megapixel sensor, a 32MP secondary sensor, and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide sensor, a 13MP periscope telescope lens that supports hybrid zoom up to 60x.

Internals as aforementioned contains Samsung’s 8nm based Exynos 980 chipset. This is coupled with 8GB of RAM and 128GB/256GB storage. As for 5G, yes, it supports both NSA as well as SA, aka Dual Mode 5G. It is fueled by a 4350mAh battery backed by 33W FlashCharge.

Amongst other things, you’ll get a gel-based cooling mechanism, Android 9 based FunTouch OS 10, Dual SIM, USB-C port, 3.5mm audio jack and Bluetooth 5.0.
