vivo has officially unveiled the vivo X300 series in China, setting a new benchmark as the first devices to come with the Dimensity 9500 chipset and some insane cameras. The lineup consists of two models: vivo X300 and vivo X300 Pro. Let’s see what these flagships bring to the table.
vivo X300

Starting off, the vivo X300 sports a 6.31-inch flat BOE Q10+ LTPO OLED ZEISS Master Color display with a 1.5K 1216 x 2640 resolution, 2160 Hz PWM, 120 Hz refresh rate, Dolby Vision, HDR10+ support. The peak brightness is rated at 4,500 Nits. The frame is flat and the bezels are even all around at 1.05mm.

This model is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500, a 3nm chip based on TSMC’s N3P process, and comes with up to 16 GB LPDDR5X RAM and 1 TB of UFS 4.0 storage. The battery capacity stands at 6,040 mAh, with support for 90W wired and 40W wireless charging.

The camera configuration includes a 200 MP ISOCELL HPB main sensor with a 1/1.4-inch sensor size, f/1.68 aperture, and OIS, a 50 MP ISOCELL JN1 1/2.76-inch ultra-wide lens, and a 50 MP LYT-602 1/1.95-inch periscope lens with OIS, 3X optical zoom (70mm equivalent focal length), and 100X digital zoom. There’s also support for tele macro at 15cm.

Both models support an optional attachable 2.35X ZEISS teleconverter kit, which extends the telephoto capabilities to approximately 170mm equivalent focal length on the X300. There’s also a photography kit available in matching colors.

For selfies, there is an upgraded 50 MP ISOCELL JN1 front camera with a 92-degree field of view and AF. Like its sibling, it comes with ZEISS T* lens coating and various ZEISS camera modes like the ZEISS portrait mode and others to improve image quality. It’s also powered by the custom V3+ imaging chip.

Video on the X300 has also been upgraded. It can now shoot 4K at 120FPS, and 4K60 cinematic video too. There is also a multispectral sensor and support for 4K Live Photo.

The X300 features a robust metal frame, an IP68/IP69 rating for dust and water resistance, NFC, and an IR blaster. The device comes with an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor.
It runs on OriginOS 6 based on Android 16 in China (expect the same in India too). It measures 7.95mm thick and weighs 190g, with additional features like dual satellite communication, and USB 3.2 Gen1 port. Overall, the vivo X300 is a massive upgrade over the X200.
