vivo has launched the X300 Ultra in China, and the focus here is clearly on cameras and video tools, along with a full accessory ecosystem built around it. The X300 Ultra launch is not just the phone, there is a whole setup around it including telephoto lenses, grip kits, and even a dedicated video rig. Let’s take a closer look at everything.

Design, Build, and Display

The phone measures 162.98 mm in height and 76.81 mm in width. Thickness is 8.19 mm for Black Ka and 8.49 mm for the other two colors. Weight is 232 grams or 237 grams depending on the finish. You also get IP68 and IP69 ratings.
On the front, it has a 6.82-inch LTPO AMOLED panel with 3168 x 1440 resolution and a 144 Hz variable refresh rate. It supports 10.7 billion colors, ZEISS Master Color tuning, Ultra XDR, HDR10+, HDR Vivid, and an 8,000,000:1 contrast ratio. Screen-to-body ratio is 94.49%, if you are interested in that.
Performance, Memory, and Battery

The vivo X300 Ultra runs on the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 built on a 3 nm process, with peak CPU clocks going up to 4.61 GHz and Adreno 840 GPU. You get 12 GB and 16 GB LPDDR5X Ultra RAM, with the top variant using LPDDR5X Ultra Pro. Storage options go up to 1 TB with UFS 4.1.
Battery is 6,600 mAh on standard models and up to 7,000 mAh on the Satellite Edition. The Indian model should be getting the 6,600 mAh battery. Charging support is 100W wired and 40W wireless, along with reverse charging.
Camera System

Now this is the highlight of the vivo X300 Ultra. It uses what vivo calls a “3+2” ZEISS Master Lens Group, which apparently means full large sensors, ZEISS T* coating, full focal length coverage, and stabilization across the entire system. What I understand is that you have 3 lenses on the phone, and 2 teleconverters for 200mm and 400mm.
The main camera is a 200 MP Sony LYTIA 901 sensor with a 1/1.12-inch size and f/1.85 aperture, using a 35 mm ZEISS Humanistic Documentary Lens II with OIS. The X200 Ultra had an f/1.7 aperture, but the larger sensor on the X300 Ultra gets 16.48% more light intake. The stabilization has also been upgraded to CIPA 6.5, from CIPA 5.0 on the X200 Ultra.

The periscope is also 200 MP, using Samsung HP0 (customized HP9) with a 1/1.4-inch sensor and f/2.67 aperture. This is actually a step back in aperture compared to the previous generation, which was around f/2.27, but it now gets a new micro-gimbal system rated at CIPA 7.0.
That is currently the highest stabilization rating in the industry, so the focus here is clearly on stability and consistency. It also supports tele-macro with a 15 cm minimum focus distance and uses an 85 mm focal length.

The ultra-wide is unchanged. It is a 50 MP Sony LYTIA 818 with a 1/1.28-inch sensor and f/2.0 aperture, with OIS rated at CIPA 6.0 and a 14 mm focal length. On the front, there is a 50 MP camera using Samsung JN5, along with a 5 MP multispectral sensor for color accuracy.

You also get 25 MP output across all focal lengths and a 50 MP mode up to 10X zoom. There is also a dedicated 200 mm portrait video mode when using the G2 lens.

Speaking of video, it supports full focal length 4K 120 fps 10-bit Log, 4K 120 fps slow motion, 4K 60 fps portrait video, and multi-focal Log recording. Cinematic motion and time-lapse are also supported across lenses.
Color processing includes ZEISS T* coating, BlueImage color system, and a dedicated color palette. Film Style uses a 2.4:1 aspect ratio at 24 fps with film grain and light effects, while Film Look uses 16:9 at 60 fps with a cinematic tone.
The full workflow includes stabilization across lenses, a four-mic audio system, Pro recording mode, ZEISS color grading screen, LUT import, dual editing workflow, ACES support, and a 3D LUT library.
Accessories

There is a full accessory lineup with the X300 Ultra. The basic hand grip kit is priced at ¥699. The ZEISS G2 teleconverter (200 mm) is ¥999. The G2 grip kit is ¥1,499. The ZEISS G2 Ultra teleconverter (400 mm) is priced at ¥1,999, and its grip kit is ¥2,499.
There is also a vivo x SmallRig video expansion kit priced at ¥1,699, which includes a cage, cooling fan, mounting points, and controls. This will be available around mid to late April 2026.
Connectivity and Software
The X300 Ultra supports a wide range of 5G bands, along with Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4. Audio codec support includes SBC, AAC, aptX, aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, aptX Lossless, LDAC, and LHDC 5.0.
You also get USB 3.2 Type-C, NFC, OTG, IR blaster, and full GNSS support. Other hardware includes dual stereo speakers, an X-axis linear motor, quad microphones, and an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor. It runs OriginOS 6 based on Android 16.
India Availability
vivo has confirmed that the X300 Ultra will be rolling out globally, including India. The expected timeline is May to June 2026, with India pricing to be announced closer to launch.
