Vivo X50 and X50 Pro to beat OnePlus Nord to become first Snapdragon 765G 5G phone in India

Last week we shared the X50 Series India launch date will happen on July 16. Less than a week later Vivo has officially confirmed it through a social media post. Vivo is will launch both the X50 and X50 Pro in India on July 16 at noon via a live stream event. With this launch, Vivo X50 and the X50 Pro will become first Snapdragon 765G phones in beating upcoming OnePlus Nord in the race which is scheduled to make its debut on July 21. These will also become Vivo’s first 5G phones in India.

With the launch of X50 family, Vivo will be making a come back to premium smartphone category. The X50 series will feature premium design language and a new gimbal rear camera stabilisation. Vivo’s e-commerce partner Flipkart is actively teasing the X50 series leading up to launch.

Vivo X50 and X50 Pro India launch: What to expect from new phones?

As for the Vivo X50 and X50 Pro, both these phones are already offical in China. These 5G phones from Vivo flaunt a premium design language and a 6.56-inch FHD+ AMOLED display. Both phones are driven by Snapdragon 765G chipset coupled with different combinations of LPDD4X RAM and UFS2.1 storage. The X50 chipset with a 4,200mAh battery, while non-vanilla variant includes a marginally bigger 4,315mAh battery and both phones support 33W fast charging.

The Vivo X50 series also differs from each-out in terms of optics. While both phones include a 48MP Sony IMX598 primary sensor while the X50 Pro has 8MP periscopic lens with a gimble mechanism. There are a 13MP telephoto sensor and 8MP ultra-wide sensor available on both phones. The vanilla X50 also has a 5MP macro sensor.

Vivo TWS Earphone Neo

Apart from the X50 5G phones, Vivo is also expected to launch its first truly wireless (TWS) earbuds in India. Recent reports suggest that the Vivo TWS Earphone Neo is also likely to launch in India on July 16. The one Vivo launched in China sometime back ships with 14.2mm drivers with Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity, aptX Adaptive CODEC support and 27-hour battery life.
