Vodafone Idea Increase Postpaid/Prepaid Plans By 20%: Find Comparison With Reliance Jio Here

Following the footsteps of Reliance Jio and Airtel, Vodafone Idea has also revised the tariffs of its prepaid and postpaid mobile plans. The telecom company has hiked its plans by up to 20 percent. For months, Indian telecom companies talked about charging more to increase their average revenue per user (ARPU). However, it was Reliance Jio who hammered the first nail, and other companies followed suit.

Vodafone Idea’s Most Affordable Monthly Plan Costs Rs. 199

Vodafone Idea new recharge plans

The cheapest monthly plan (with a validity of 28 days) that offers 2GB of data and unlimited calling now costs Rs. 199, up from Rs. 179. The Rs. 269 plan (with a validity of 28 days) that offers 1GB of data per day and unlimited calling now costs Rs. 299. Regarding data add-ons, the Rs. 19 pack (1GB of data) now costs Rs. 22, while the Rs. 39 plan (6GB of data) now costs Rs. 48.

Two-Month Plan Now Starts From Rs. 579

On the other hand, the most affordable two-month plan (with a validity of 56 days) that offers 1.5GB data per day now costs Rs. 579 (previously Rs. 479). Similarly, the cheapest three-month plan (with a validity of 1.5GB per day) will cost Rs. 859, up from Rs. 719. Vodafone Idea’s annual prepaid plan now costs Rs. 3,499, up from Rs. 2,899. It offers 1.5GB of data per day.

Vodafone Idea’s Postpaid Plans Hiked By Rs. 50

The company’s postpaid plans worth Rs. 401 and Rs. 501 now cost Rs. 451 and Rs. 551, respectively. The former includes 50GB of data, while the latter provides 90GB of data. The cheapest family plan, which was available for Rs. 601, will now cost Rs. 701, while the Rs. 1,001 family plan will retail for Rs. 1,201. The former offers 70GB of data for the primary user and 40GB of data for the secondary user, while the latter doubles the data limit for the primary user.

Vodafone Idea Vs. Reliance Jio: Popular Plans Compared

  • While Vodafone Idea’s most affordable prepaid plan costs Rs. 199, Reliance Jio’s cheapest plan (with similar benefits) costs Rs. 189.
  • Vodafone Idea’s new Rs. 299 plan offers 1GB of data per day, whereas Reliance Jio offers the same for Rs. 249.
  • Both telecoms offer a 56-day prepaid plan with 1.5GB of data per day for Rs. 579.
  • The 84-day prepaid recharge plan that offers Rs. 1.5GB per day costs Rs. 859 with Vodafone Idea and Rs. 799 with Reliance Jio.
