Web Series & Movies to binge-watch on OTT this week: All that’s new on Amazon Prime, Netflix, SonyLiv & more

The month of August has seen OTT releases give tough competition to theatrical releases and the last weekend will be no less as the OTT space is all set to launch originals like Criminal Justice Season 3, Delhi Crime Season 2 and more. Although theatres have seen a big budget movie like ‘Liger’, but it seems shows like Maharani 2 will weigh heavy on theatrical releases. Here are some shows that you can binge watch over the weekend.

1. Criminal Justice Season 3

This OTT release is a crime thriller that focuses on law and justice. The cast includes Swastika Mukherjee, Purab Kohli, and Shweta Basu Prasad along with Pankaj Tripathi in the lead role. It is directed by Rohan Sippy and will release on 26th of August on Disney+Hotstar.

2. Delhi Crime Season 2

This series is inspired by fictional and some real crime incidents in the nation’s capital city, Delhi. It stars Shefali Shah, Rasika Duggal and is directed by Tanuja Chopra. The series will stream on 26th of August on Netflix India.

3. Maharani 2

It is a political drama inspired by Bihar’s 1990s political upheaval. Huma Qureshi is the protagonist and the series has already gone live on SonyLive from 25th August.

4. Me Time

Kevin Hart stars in this comedy about stay-at-home dad finally getting the “Me Time” he desperately craved. What happens next promises to be a fun filled adventure. It will stream on 26th August on Netflix India.

5. Samaritan

Sylvester Stallone makes his return to the big screen through this movie. He plays the role of a superpowered guy hiding in the shadows for nearly 20 years before crime comes to his neighbourhood, forcing him to fight for justice. It will stream on 26th August on Amazon Prime Video.
