Yes, Twitter is down. X is down. And no, it’s not just you.

X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter, is facing a service disruption that has left many users unable to load posts across multiple platforms. Reports started surfacing on January 16, 2026, with users on web browsers, iPhones, and Android devices all seeing similar issues.

For most affected users, timelines either fail to refresh entirely or load only partially, with posts appearing sporadically. In some cases, the app opens but does not populate the feed, while others encounter repeated loading errors. The issue does not appear to be universal, as some users report intermittent access or normal behavior.
