XGIMI Launches Its First 4K Laser TV “Aura”

XGIMI has introduced its first 4K laser television, the XGIMI Aura, from its smart projector line. In essence, it is a smart projector that is capable of providing a screen size of up to 150 inches with an ultra-short throw distance. The device can be placed a few inches from the wall or screen, as opposed to traditional projectors that are mounted on stands or hung from the ceiling.

In addition, XGIMI says that customers can purchase their ALR screens for the best picture quality under bright ambient lighting or outside. The premium projector comes with a price tag of Rs 4,00,000.

XGIMI Aura Features

The XGIMI Aura is powered by the same MT9629 processor found in the XGIMI Horizon Pro 4K projector. CPU is paired with Mali-G52 GPU, 2GB RAM, and 32GB storage. It is equipped with an inbuilt Chromecast and runs Android 10 TV. Users of Android will be able to use the screen sharing feature and access the apps store.

In terms of resolution, the XGIMI Aura offers 4K resolution at 3840×2160 pixels and a brightness rating of 2400 lumens. For adjusting the frame to the screen or wall, there are eight keystone correction points.

The speaker system by Harman Kardon is touted to deliver 15W audio output. XGIMI Aura supports audio formats such as DTS-HD, DTS Studio Sound, and Dolby Audio. Furthermore, MEMC and 3D support, as well as low latency are also prominent features. The device also boasts an array of ports that include AC, HDMI, USB 2.0 and 3, and LAN. The wireless LAN and Bluetooth connectivity are also built-in.

It measures 606x401x139.5mm and is a chunky piece of hardware regardless of its features. It weighs 11 kg, and the box includes a power cord, remote control, and Google Assistant shortcut.

XGIMI Aura Price and Availability

XGIMI Aura can soon be pre-ordered in India, and it will be available at an introductory price of Rs 3, 50,000 for a limited time. Demo units are currently available in Mumbai at XGIMI’s exclusive experience center, and will soon be available in Bengaluru, Pune, and Delhi.
