Xiaomi 11i HyperCharge Becomes first smartphone with 120W fast charging in India

Xiaomi has kicked off its 2022 with a high. The company has launched 2 new mid-range smartphones, namely the Xiaomi 11i and the Xiaomi 11i HyperCharge. The main highlight of the Xiaomi 11i HyperCharge comes with 120W fast charging which claims to charge 100% in just 15 minutes.

The Xiaomi 11i HyperCharge will come in 2 storage variants-

  • 6GB RAM+128GB storage- Rs. 26,999
  • 8GB RAM+ 256GB storage- Rs. 28,999

The phone will go live on sale from January 12 on Flipkart and Xiaomi Stores.

Xiaomi 11i HyperCharge Specs

Xiaomi 11i HyperCharge will sport a 6.67-inch full HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 360Hz touch sampling rate. The peak brightness is 1200 nits with 700 nits of typical brightness. This is a G-OLED display.

It is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 920 chipset and is a dual-SIM device with support for microSD in one of the nano-slots. Storage can be expanded up to 1TB. Connectivity options include WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, IR Blaster, and X-axis Linear vibration.

The phone packs a 4500mAh battery with a 120W fast charging speed. Xiaomi has claimed that despite the fast charging speed, the battery lifespan will not be affected. The battery will continue to hold around 80% of the battery life span even after 800 charging cycles. Customers will also have the option of turning off this high-speed charging from the phone’s settings. To know if the fast charging is taking place, the words 120W will show in yellow when a user plugs it in with a fast charger.

In the camera department, the smartphone has a 108MP Samsung HM2 sensor with an 8MP ultrawide sensor and a 2MP macro camera. The phones have dual Native ISO which will reduce noise and ensure better dynamic range in photos. The front camera is 16MP. Xiaomi 11i HyperCharge runs MIUI 12.5 based on Android 11 and will be the first to get MIUI 13.

11i HyperCharge has dual speakers and comes with Dolby Atmos, Hi-res audio certification, and Hi-res wireless certification. A side-mounted fingerprint sensor is present as well.
