Xiaomi 11T Pro gets certified for the India launch; Meanwhile, Xiaomi 12 shows up in live images

Xiaomi is all set to bring a host of new smartphones to the markets. Xiaomi 11T Pro which was debuted as a part of the Xiaomi 11T Series in September this year is all set to arrive in the Indian Market. Its recent appearance on the IMEI database and Google Play corroborates the same. Meanwhile, Xiaomi 12 gets spotted on a subway train, hinting at an imminent launch.

A few days ago, Xiaomi 11T Pro Indian variant was spotted on the IMEI database suggesting its launch to be soon. Tipster Mukul Sharma spotted Xiaomi 11T Pro Indian variant with model number 2017113SI.

Now, he has spotted Xiaomi 11T Pro on the Google Supported Devices and Google Play Console. The smartphone has been codenamed ‘vili’ and is expected to be priced in the premium segment just like in the European market. The listing shows that Xiaomi 11T Pro will go by the model numbers 2107113SG, 2107113SI, and 2107113SR.

Google Play Console listing has also revealed some specs of the Indian variant of Xiaomi 11T Pro. It will be powered by a 5nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset with 5G connectivity. It will consist of a Kyro 685 performance core clocked at 2.8GHz, three Kyro 685 medium cores clocked at 2.4GHz and 4 Kyro 685 efficiency cores clocked at 1.8GHz.

The listing reveals the device to have 8GB of RAM, but it might also have a 12GB RAM variant. Xiaomi 11T Pro will sport a 6.67-inch FHD+ display with a pixel resolution of 1800×2400, 120Hz refresh rate, and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection.

Like its international variant, it will have a triple camera setup by the back including a 108MP Samsung HM2 primary sensor capable of recording 8K video. Connectivity options will consist of 5G, 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, and USB Type-C port. It will feature a vapor chamber, dual Harman Kardon Speakers with Dolby Atmos, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for biometric authentication.

Xiaomi 11T Pro Indian variant is expected to be priced around the same lines as that of its European Variant.

  • 8GB RAM+128GB storage- Euro 649 (Rs. 56,400)
  • 8GB RAM+256GB storage- Euro 699 (Rs. 60,800)
  • 12GB RAM+256GB storage- Euro 749 (Rs. 65,100)

It could come in 3 colors viz. Meteorite Gray, Celestial Blue, and Moonlight White.

Xiaomi 12 Leaked Images

Xiaomi seems to be working on the launch of its next flagship series, Xiaomi 12 too. The upcoming series smartphone has been spotted in live images, shared viz Weibo, that look like they were taken in a subway train. The smartphone appears to be in a protective case when the leaked images were taken and thus the design of the phone remains a mystery.

Xiaomi 12 is expected to feature a smaller notch for the selfie camera and a slightly curved display, but neither of these two features could be figured out in the leaked hands-on images. But if they are correct, then it means Xiaomi 12 is right around the corner, and the launch could take place probably sometime in mid-December.

Xiaomi 12 Expected Specs

Reports suggest that Xiaomi 12 will be powered by Qualcomm 898 SoC with an AMOLED LTPO display and a 120Hz refresh rate. It will have a combination of up to 12GB LPDDR5x RAM and up to 512GB UFS 3.1 storage. It is expected to run on Android 12 OS with MIUI custom skin on top.

It will reportedly feature a 5000mAh battery but with 120W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging capacity.

In the camera department, Xiaomi 12 is likely to have a triple camera setup with a 50MP primary camera (with an ultra-large bottom solution that allows 1920fps slow-motion videos), a 50MP periscope telephoto lens with up to 5x optical zoom, and a 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens. The smartphone is expected to have optical image stabilization support too.
