Xiaomi 12 Ultra Enhanced codenamed Thor might feature a Leica-branded Camera

Xiaomi 12 series is all set to launch in China next month. Thus far the upcoming series was expected to have 4 smartphones- Xiaomi 12, Xiaomi 12 Mini, Xiaomi 12 Pro, and Xiaomi 12 Ultra. Now as per some reports, the company is also planning to launch another phone called Xiaomi 12 Ultra Enhanced.

According to a report by Xiaomiui, the code of the Xiaomi 12 Ultra and Xiaomi 12 Ultra Enhanced are built on the same ROM and source. They are codenamed Thor and Loki respectively.

Xiaomi 12 Ultra & Xiaomi 12 Ultra Enhanced Specs

Both the smartphones are expected to feature the new Qualcomm Snapdragon SM8450 processor (possibly called Snapdragon 8 Gen 1). In the camera department, they will have a 50MP Samsung GN5 primary camera, although there are rumors about these smartphones having a 200MP camera too. Both the phones will have 3 more 48MP cameras with 2x, 5x, and 10x zoom.

Moreover, Digital Chat Station has claimed that Xiaomi has struck a deal with Leica, and thus Xiaomi 12 Ultra Series will have Leica branding on its camera lenses.

Leaks suggest that the smartphones will have support for 5 cameras, while the zoom capacity can go all the way up to 120x for photos and 15x for videos. The smartphones are expected to have an in-display fingerprint sensor as well.
