Xiaomi to hold a ‘Make Moments Mega’ global event on October 4: 12T Series & Redmi Pad to get unveiled

Tech giant Xiaomi has confirmed that it is all set to host a global launch event on October 4. The event is titled ‘Make Moments Mega’ and is expected to see the launch of the Xiaomi 12T Series and some other products. The Xiaomi 12T device could be the first one featuring the first 200MP camera from the brand. The event will stream online from 5:30 PM IST.

Xiaomi 12T Series

The Xiaomi 12T Series is claimed to include 2 models- Xiaomi 12T and Xiaomi 12T Pro. The smartphones are expected to arrive in India too, a few weeks after their global launch takes place. These will be high-end premium smartphones from the brand that are expected to give superior performance. Reports claim that the Xiaomi 12T might retail at EUR 649 (Rs. 51,800) and the Xiaomi 12T pro might sell at EUR 849 (Rs. 67,800). Recently some images of the Xiaomi 12T phones leaked in the Lunar Silver colorway that looked beautiful.

Xiaomi 12T Pro: Expected Specs

The Xiaomi 12T Pro is said to be powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset paired with 8GB RAM and up to 256GB storage. It is claimed to sport a 6.67-inch FHD+ AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. The smartphone can be the first from Xiaomi to have a 200MP main sensor at the back along with a 20MP front camera. It might pack a 5000mAh battery with 120W fast charging. Other features include Harman Kardon speakers, Dolby Vision, and more.

Xiaomi 12T: Expected specs

Xiaomi 12T is expected to run MediaTek Dimensity 8100 chipset and feature a 108MP camera sensor as well. More specs will be known as the day of the launch gets closer.

Redmi Pad: Expectations

Redmi Pad is also expected to launch alongside the Xiaomi 12T series. The pad was recently seen on the Bluetooth Special Interest Group website. The model number was 22081283G wherein G indicates it is a Global variant. The Pad will run MIUI 13+ out of the box. The listing also reveals that the tab will use Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity.

Some other reports also claimed that the Pad will come in a Mint Green color with a flat edge design. It will have a quad-speaker setup and pack an 8000mAh battery under the hood with 22.5W fast charging. The display might be a 10.61-inch LCD 2K panel with a 90Hz refresh rate and 400 nits brightness. It might be one of the most budget-friendly tablets in recent times. Its price in Kuwait is revealed to be Rs. 18,800.

The Pad will be powered by an Helio G99 chipset paired with up to 4GB RAM and up to 128GB storage. It might have an 8MP selfie lens along with an 8MP ultrawide camera at the back. The pad will be around 7mm thick and weigh almost 445 grams.

Redmi Pad: Expected Price

The Redmi Pad is expected to be priced at around 250 euros. It will come in Graphite Grey, Moonlight Silver, and Mint Green colors. The Pad is expected to launch in India as well on the 4th of October.
