Xiaomi 13 Series new launch date announced: China launch confirmed for December 8

Xiaomi 13 Series was supposed to launch in China on December 1^st but the launch was postponed due to some internal matters in the home country. Now, the brand has confirmed the new launch date for the launch of its upcoming flagship- the Xiaomi 13 series. The Xiaomi 13 Series will now launch on the 8^th of December and will include Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro models.

Xiaomi 13 Series Specs: Expected & Confirmed

Xiaomi has already confirmed that the series will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset paired with LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. It will be the first to run MIUI 14 as well.

Various leaked renders show off the design for the Xiaomi 13 models. The Xiaomi 13 Pro has a protruding camera island with 3 sensors, tuned by Leica. It would come as a floating lens and this would allow the lens elements to adjust themselves to obtain the best focus when capturing objects as little as 10cm away from the lens or far from it via 3x optical zoom.

Xiaomi 13 Pro is expected to arrive with a 6.73-inch 2K OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a pulse width modulation of 1920Hz. It is said to pack a 4820mAh battery with 120W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging support. The smartphone is claimed to be 8.38mm thick and weighs 229 grams.
