Xiaomi 13 Ultra to debut on April 18th: Here’s What to Expect from Upcoming Flagship Smartphone

A day after Smartprix exclusively shared with the world the initial glimpse of the Xiaomi 13 Ultra, the company officially confirmed its launch date. The much-anticipated flagship smartphone from Xiaomi will make its debut in China on April 18th. The official teaser confirms the presence of quad rear cameras, among which is a telephoto lens.

Our exclusive report also uncovered some additional details about the Xiaomi 13 Ultra, including a curved screen and a large camera module. Furthermore, we obtained the phone’s dimensions, which are expected to be approximately 163.18×74.64×9.57mm. However, the thickness of the smartphone, including the camera bump, is estimated to be around 15.61mm, which is notably thick and also can be seen in the official teaser.

Xiaomi’s teaser for the upcoming 13 Ultra smartphone includes a reference to the Leica Vario-Summicron 1:1.8-3.0/12-120 ASPH, indicating that the primary camera may have an f/1.8 aperture while the telephoto camera may have an f/3.0 aperture. According to earlier speculations, the Xiaomi 13 Ultra will boast a 6.7-inch Samsung LTPO E6 AMOLED QHD+ 120Hz display, a Snapdragon 8 Gen2 SoC, and up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB UFS 4.0 storage.

Regarding its camera system, the Xiaomi 13 Ultra is rumored to be equipped with a 1″ 50MP Sony IMX989 primary sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and two 50MP telephoto lenses, including a periscope lens, in addition to a 32MP front-facing camera. The phone is also expected to retain an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance.

In terms of battery capacity, the device is anticipated to house a 4900mAh battery that supports 90W fast charging, 50W wireless charging, and reverse wireless charging.

The launch event for the Xiaomi 13 Ultra is scheduled to commence on April 18th at 7 PM in China time (4:30 PM IST).
