After months of anticipation, Xiaomi has officially announced the global launch date for the Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Ultra smartphones. Both phones will be hitting global markets on March 2nd. This announcement follows a flurry of leaks surrounding the Xiaomi 15 Ultra.
This isn’t the first time Xiaomi has opted to launch its flagships at Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona; they have a history of doing so. To recap, the Xiaomi 15 originally launched in China in October of last year, meaning it’s going global nearly six months later. The Xiaomi 15 Ultra, on the other hand, will launch in China on February 22nd, followed by a global release on March 2nd.

Xiaomi 15 Specifications
The Xiaomi 15 is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite paired with up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. It boasts a 6.36-inch LTPO OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a 300Hz touch sampling rate, a 2670×1200 resolution, and a peak brightness of 3200 nits. For cameras, it features a 50MP main sensor, a 50MP telephoto lens, and a 50MP ultrawide sensor on the rear.
A 32MP front-facing camera handles video calls and selfies. The flagship runs Android 14 (assuming, changed to a more probable version) with HyperOS 2. Additional features include 5G, 4G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, USB 3.2, an IR blaster, dual speakers, an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, an IP68 rating, and more. Powering the device is a 5,400mAh battery with support for 90W wired and 50W wireless charging.

Xiaomi 15 Ultra Specifications
The Xiaomi 15 Ultra features a 6.78-inch LTPO OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 2K resolution. It will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC, paired with up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.
In terms of optics, the phone is rumored to feature a quad-camera setup on the back, consisting of a 50MP primary camera, a 50MP ultrawide camera, a 50MP 3X telephoto lens, and a separate 200MP telephoto camera. Like the regular Xiaomi 15, a 32MP camera will handle selfies.

Additional features include 5G, 4G connectivity, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, USB 3.2, an IR blaster, dual speakers, an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, an IP68 rating, and more. It’s expected to be powered by a 5,410mAh battery with 90W wired and 80W wireless charging support.
