The Xiaomi 15 CIVI, set to launch in India and global markets, will be a rebranded version of the Xiaomi CIVI 5 Pro, which is scheduled to debut in China later this month on May 22. Positioned as a sleek, all-round flagship to rival the iPhone, the Xiaomi 15 CIVI will bring some interesting upgrades to the table.

Design and Display

Xiaomi 15 CIVI

The Xiaomi 15 CIVI will inherit the CIVI 5 Pro’s design, featuring a thin and light profile with a quad-curved 6.55-inch micro quad-curved OLED display supporting 1.5K resolution. It will be available in purple, beige, white, and black color options. It is also said to feature a peak brightness of up to 3,000 Nits and a 120 Hz refresh rate.

Performance and Battery

Xiaomi 15 CIVI

The Xiaomi 15 CIVI will be powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset, spotted on Geekbench earlier this month, and now confirmed officially as the CIVI 5 Pro also sports the same SoC. Nonetheless, the Xiaomi 15 CIVI will also come with 16GB of RAM and Android 15.

For the battery side of things, it’s expected to feature a 6,000mAh+ battery with 67W fast charging, as per its 3C certification. That’s larger than the Xiaomi 15 and even 15 Ultra’s battery in India. The 14 CIVI had a 4,500 mAh battery. However, as always with Xiaomi, the battery size might be reduced when the product eventually makes its way to India.

Camera and Optics

Xiaomi 15 CIVI

The Xiaomi 15 CIVI is getting major upgrades in its camera system, both on the front and rear. Gone is the 2X telephoto without OIS, replaced by the 2.6X floating telephoto found on the Xiaomi 15. It’s a 60mm 2.6X floating telephoto with a 1/2.76-inch sensor, paired with an f/2 aperture and OIS. A 10 cm focusing distance for macro shots is also expected.

We’re expecting the 50 MP main and the ultra-wide cameras to remain untouched. The selfie camera will be upgraded to a 50 MP one with 21mm focal length and f/2 aperture. All the cameras will be enhanced with LEICA imaging.
