After weeks of speculations and rumors, Xiaomi has finally confirmed the date for the China launch of the Xiaomi 15 Series. The Xiaomi 15 Series will include three smartphones Xiaomi 15, Xiaomi 15 Pro, and Xiaomi 15 Ultra, out of which two are arriving in China this month, followed by Ultra launching next year. Xiaomi has shared some teasers for the launch which confirm the launch date to be 29th October, next Tuesday at 7 PM Chinese time. Alongside the Xiaomi 15 Series, the brand will roll out HyperOS 2.0 based on Android 15 as well.
Xiaomi 15 Series
The Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Pro will be the first to feature the recently launched Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC. The company has managed to beat brands like Honor, and iQOO which have launched scheduled for the 30th and 31st of October.
The teaser for the smartphones shows off the tagline “See every light” which indicates the advanced photographic capabilities that the Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Pro will have. Xiaomi has continued its partnership with Leica for cameras. As we reported earlier, Xiaomi 15 is expected to have a triple lens setup at the back including a 50MP OV50H primary, 50MP ultrawide, and 50MP 3.2x telephoto cameras.


Meanwhile, the Xiaomi 15 Pro is expected to have a triple lens setup as well including a 50MP Light Fusion 900 series sensor along with a 50MP ultrawide and 50MP telephoto lens.
Both the Xiaomi 15 Series devices are expected to arrive with a 1.5K AMOLED screen featuring a 120Hz refresh rate. The storage models will include up to 16GB RAM and up to 1TB onboard space. There might be an IP68 rating for durability along with a large 5500 to 6000mAh battery under the hood. Fast charging speed will be up to 90W in terms of wired and 50W in terms of wireless. Xiaomi 15 Ultra

While Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Pro will arrive in India by November-December, the high-end Xiaomi 15 Ultra will not be launched before February 2025, both in China as well as in India.
