Xiaomi 15 & Xiaomi 15 Pro Launched in China with IP68 Rating & Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC

The first Snapdragon 8 Elite devices have gone official. Xiaomi has launched the flagship Xiaomi 15 Series which includes two smartphones- Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Pro. The series has launched in China and is expected to arrive in India in November. These are the first smartphones to come with the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset and are the successors to Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro that came out in 2023. Xiaomi 15 Series: Price & Availability

The Xiaomi 15 comes in four storage variants-

  • 12GB RAM+256GB storage- CNY 4499 (Rs. 53,000 approximately)
  • 12GB RAM+512GB storage- CNY 4799 (Rs. 56,000 approx.)
  • 16GB RAM+512GB storage- CNY 4999 (Rs. 59,000 approx.)
  • 16GB RAM+1TB storage- CNY 5499 (Rs. 65,000 approx.)

Xiaomi 15 Pro comes in three storage configurations-

  • 12GB RAM+256GB storage- CNY 5299 (Rs. 63,000 approx.)
  • 16GB RAM+512GB storage- CNY 5799 (Rs. 69,000 approx.)
  • 16GB RAM+1TB storage- CNY 6499 (Rs. 76,500 approx.)

Xiaomi 15 will be available in Purple, Green, Black, White, and Silver colors while the Xiaomi 15 Pro will come in Silver, Ash, White, and Green hues. The smartphones will go on sale in China on 31st October.

Xiaomi 15: Specs

The Xiaomi 15 is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset paired with Adreno GPU, up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM, and up to 1TB UFS 4.0 storage. It flaunts a 6.36-inch LTPO OLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, 300Hz touch sampling rate, 2670×1200 resolution, and 3200 nits peak brightness. In terms of the camera, there is a 50MP main, 50MP telephoto, and 50MP ultrawide sensor at the back.

There is a 32MP front sensor for video calls and selfies. The flagship runs Android 15 with HyperOS 2 and additional features include 5G, 4G, WiFi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, USB 3.2, IR Blaster, Dual speakers, Ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, IP68 rating more. Under the hood is a 5400mAh powerhouse with 90W wired and 50W wireless charging capability. Xiaomi 15 measures 152.3×71.2×8.08mm and weighs 191 grams.

Xiaomi 15 Pro: Specs

Xiaomi 15 Pro is also powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset with Adreno GPU, up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM, and up to 1TB UFS 4.0 storage. The flagship smartphone sports a 6.73-inch LTPO micro-curved OLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, 300Hz touch sampling rate, 3200×1440 resolution, and 3200 nits brightness. At the back is a triple camera setup including a 50MP main, 50MP periscope, and 50MP ultrawide sensor. There is a 32MP front camera for selfies and video calls.

It runs Android 15 with HyperOS 2 and packs a 6100mAh battery with 90W wired and 50W wireless charging speed. Additional features include a Dual SIM, WiFi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, USB 3.2, IR Blaster, Dual speakers, an Ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, and an IP68 rating.
